I create mixed media works and collage. My abstract acrylic paintings may begin with an idea in my mind's eye, or evolve as I go. There are infinite combinations of color, shape, texture and marks that make each painting unique, yet also part of a cohesive body of work. My hope is that the viewer might see a small bit of texture or different color each time they see my paintings.

 

I also derive much joy from creating collage art. One of my favorite finds is a box full of early 1950s Popular Mechanics magazines. Those old magazines are filled with odd and campy images that fueled hours and hours of happy creation. The collage process reminds me of childhood art classes (always my favorite) assembling pictures with scissors, paste and imagination.
